Tyl’s team recognized the solution’s potential early and responded positively to the new addition to the portfolio. As one of the first payment service providers to adopt SoftPOS across Android and iOS platforms, Tyl gained the advantage of adding flexibility, simplicity, and strategic value to its merchant offering.

SoftPOS’s Impact on Tyl’s Business

Since adopting SoftPOS in mid-2023, Tyl has seen an increase in merchant acquisition and engagement across sectors. In January 2024 alone, Tyl onboarded 600+ merchants, about a 55% month-over-month uplift compared to December 2023, even though January is typically a quiet month in the payments industry. Tyl also saw value right from the outset of SoftPOS implementation, with a significant increase in transaction volume.

Furthermore, SoftPOS’s accessibility and deployment ease have enabled Tyl to reach new merchant segments that were previously underserved by traditional payment solutions.
