SoftPOS works on any NFC‑enabled Android 8.1+ or iOS 16.4+ smartphone or tablet, so no extra payment hardware is needed to accept contactless cards. The solution can, however, be extended with optional accessories—such as a receipt printer—if a merchant wants printed receipts or other peripheral functions.
